    Default Light question

Why is the sun rising at the end of the last episode when it's totally dark at the beginning of the first episode? Lol

I dont recall S6 that well, but where was Jack at the beginning and end of the day?

At the beginning Jack was returning from China. At the end of the day he was at Heller's home overlooking the Pacific.

    Hey ganning1987!

It's a valid question. There is a discrepancy if we are to believe it's 24 hours later when jack leaves Heller's bungalow.

6:08am: Takes place at Ellis Airfield. Cheng hands over Jack to Buchanan. It's dark.

    Approximately 24 hours later.

5:55am. Jack apologizes to Audrey as she sleep and lets her go. (Sun coming in thru the window)

5:59 am: Jack is outside of Heller's bungalow overlooking the Pacific ocean contemplating his future. It's light out.

I find "24" takes a lot of liberties in what they want us to believe. This is only a small one.

Gordon wanted Kiefer to drive home what Jack was comtemplating at the moment. The vast open ocean spread out in front of him,the sharp fall off of the cliff beneath him, and the pain on his face. It would have been difficult to project this feeling, if Jack was surrounded in darkness.

Yeah, seems pretty much as I thought. It's not a big thing, I suppose. Not sure why they didn't just start the first episode in daylight, perhaps that was for dramatic effect as well.

Come to think of it, the same thing happens in season 4; in episode 1 the train scene is clearly set during the night, and in episode 24 we see Jack walking away into the dawn. Guess it'd be for similar reasons as season 6.

I can't cite any specific example but basically everytime an episode ends at 5:59 pm, it is still relatively light out. Then the second the next episode starts at 6 it's compeltely dark. Always bugs me especially since I've been watching the DVDs so I see the episodes in succession. Happens in every season!
