    Hi again Sinnerman!

Season 2 finale - the neck-break-heart-attack one. Pure dead brilliant, and I love watching the extended version.

Now, don't laugh, but when I first saw the scene, I thought, 'that is bl**dy amazing! How did they get a stunt guy who looks so much like Kiefer?'

I told you not to laugh!

And I watched it again, and again, and again, and was trying to work out how they had cut it with Kiefer's face, and obviously he does the punches, but then they get an acrobat in to do the bit where he flies. And then I watched the special features. And you see how hard they worked at it, and the look on Kiefer's face when they tell him they want him to do this flying bit is just priceless!

I do find a fist-fight so much more dramatic and appealing than all the gun-stuff that goes on, but I understand why they don't do more of it. Guns, after all, are very effective. So every now and then they bring in a specialist in combat (as opposed to an actor) to do a fight. I'm thinking of the the guy in season 5 (the scissors in the neck kill). What we get is a great fight scene but with a character that we don't really care about. That's what makes the killing of Fayyed so special - great fight *and* we care about him - we care how he dies! )

    Hi Clara, and welcome!

Yes, it was. Season 6 was cringemaking at times, but also some of the best 24 we've seen.

    Hey smitten!

Sorry I haven't been posting and continuing our discussion. But everytime I do, "enambanis" shows up. Haven't seen it around in a while. Let's see what happens tonight.

Sinnerman - yes, I know what you mean. I was also beginning to take it personally - was also working on the ignore-it-and-it-will-stop strategy.

RZ - thanks, better not tell us how, just leave it to the imagination...

dont know how I missed this thread during my time here, but allow me to say I loved it.
The Fayed kill was awesome! Say hello to your brother lol Great stuff.
I liked when Doyle came in and saw the baddies all strewn around and just muttered, "damn Jack"
Goren was probably the cold blooded kill of all time. I must admit, it took me by surprise.
"That's the problem with people like you George, you don't want to get your hands dirty.
I'm going to need a hacksaw."

The hatchet job from season 8 was a great one too.

The best "almost" kill to me was threatening to put Saunders daughter into the infected hotel. Pure brutality. I thought that was an incredible scene.
