Hi again Sinnerman!
Season 2 finale - the neck-break-heart-attack one. Pure dead brilliant, and I love watching the extended version.
Now, don't laugh, but when I first saw the scene, I thought, 'that is bl**dy amazing! How did they get a stunt guy who looks so much like Kiefer?'
I told you not to laugh!
And I watched it again, and again, and again, and was trying to work out how they had cut it with Kiefer's face, and obviously he does the punches, but then they get an acrobat in to do the bit where he flies. And then I watched the special features. And you see how hard they worked at it, and the look on Kiefer's face when they tell him they want him to do this flying bit is just priceless!
I do find a fist-fight so much more dramatic and appealing than all the gun-stuff that goes on, but I understand why they don't do more of it. Guns, after all, are very effective. So every now and then they bring in a specialist in combat (as opposed to an actor) to do a fight. I'm thinking of the the guy in season 5 (the scissors in the neck kill). What we get is a great fight scene but with a character that we don't really care about. That's what makes the killing of Fayyed so special - great fight *and* we care about him - we care how he dies!)
