did the season 5 finale impress you

i know a few people who have said they didn't like the last minute plot twist
of having the chinese return and capture Jack

just wanted to know if you thought it was good or bad for the season, to have the chinese only appear at the end?

i thought it was good, there had to be reprecussions for what jack did and it was an amazing way to do it, however it is a bit stange how jack was only back for the 24 hours of the season, that was a bit wierd.

I thought it was pretty good...I actually saw that part on TV when my family was watching (before I started watching the series). So when I was watching the DVDs and that scene started, I already knew what was going to happen, so it wasn't that surprising.

i liked it....Morris was funny, of couse and the whole Jack interrogating Logan thing was cool....but the pen, the pen was amazing....(the pen that Logan had in his siut jacket that recoreded his conversation with Martha) the pen is key

Didnt want to start another thread, but in my quest to rewatch all season before the end of S-7 just wrapped up S-5.
I know many really like this one, but it's not one of my all time favorites.
There seemed to be too many McGyver type moments that seemed to detract from the story and too many loose ends.
I thought the story was awesome though, and I think we will see that S-5 filters into S-7 just the way it did S-6.
Jack v Walt Cummings was an awesome intense scene as was that with Logan.
The outset of the season was a terrific start, although tough to see Michelle get axed.
She will always be a favorite.
I liked the Henderson character but didn't really like the way he was portrayed by Weller. I cant decide if it was Weller or the director, but somehow he just wasnt as tight a fit as he should have been for being such an integral character.
The ending with Jack on the slow boat to China was brutal. You were never given the sense he would be able to reappear into society, but I certainly didnt think he would be hauled off to a Chinese prison.

I liked the last arc of the season, rather than the finale itself. The awesomeness that was Jack getting on that helicopter was amazing.
I actually rooted for Martha Logan too!

I can't wait until the end of season 7 so we can really find out what the hell Tony was doing for all this time (ie good or bad), and how the situation ended up like it did...

I think there are more questions to be answered.

Season 6 was boring.

I loved the end to season five. The moment when Jack was captured by the Chinese was horrifying and emotionally exploitative in the way only 24 can do so well. Loved it. Great end to a great season.
