indeed it did. That would have killed what turned out to be a fantastic scene.
And it really epitomized how insightful Nina was. Even then, she was on the defensive and she knew there was no way Jack was a turncoat. Her steely glare cut right through his cover and they both knew she was right.
Outstanding characters and superbly acted.
Thanks for the additional info, please, keep all the tidbits forthcoming when you runa cross them

Here is a little insight about Nina's role but pertains to Season One. Interview with Sarah Clarke
Did you wonder who the mole was all season?
Sarah: Yeah. I remember wandering into a production office and I saw one of the brainstorming boards and I rememver seeing mole possibilities and one of them was Alberta Green. I think even she was too obvi9ous but that was all I ever saw.
When did they tell you Nina was the mole?
Sarah: Literally,I think I got it four episodes from the end. Honestly, I think they thought of it 16 episodes into the season.
After spending a season seemingly helping Jack, was the mole twist surprising to you too?
Sarah: Yeah, I was naiive and thought."Yeah, I love Jack and I'm the one who helps him.Certainly, when they told me, I was blindsided then I was really excited. For the first two minutes,I was like."wait a minute. There's no way. I have been playing it this way" But then talking to Joel Surnow and really fleshing it out, it made perfect sense that I played a great double agent.
Maybe if Sarah knew from the very beginning that she would become a double agent, she might not have played out her part so well? Whatever. But IMO that has to be the best "twist" "24" has ever done, along with the exposure of President Logan's agenda coming in with a close second.

agreed!
Nina remains one of the most electrifying characters in 24 IMO
