Whenever I hear the words "HI I'M BARRY SCOTT" I shout "I DON'T CARE GO AND INVENT SOMETHING NOT FAKE"

Here in the states we have a commercial for a product called Head On. The commercials are enough to make someone have a headache and I think that's why they do it. Basically someone sits there and says Head on for headache relief (or something to that effect) over and over and over. Now they have new ones where a "customer" steps into that commercial and says the commercial is annoying but the product works. I hate them all!

dont get me wrong, all in all i think its a good advertise from a business point of view, a very catchy song, showing the public they will be there for them etc....but very annoying song and it was on non stop on sky sports news so after a few weeks you got sick of it!

No, I think advertising companies feel we respond better to American voices, like James Bond responds more to female voices, but another one is the ones for Dove and L'Oreal wrinkle creams. YOU'RE OLD AND SAGGY, GET USED TO IT, that's what I think anyway, not amount of magical cream is going to change that.

Its the type of voice that they use on a movie trailor.

LOl There's actually a guy that has the voice, I can't remember his name but he does a Geico (insurance) commercial here. He's the same voice that does all the disaster movie promos. I get what you mean, we get the same thing over here. some addies use british voices or french, etc. we do have a commercial with john cleese that is quite funny though.
