And so faisj is right - Jack starts fighting aliens in season 8. :D

I had thought that he could "die" this season, and then next season we find out that it was someone that was trying to infiltrate "as Jack" as we see Jack walk back into CTU after people AGAIN thinking that he was dead after a full season. Imagine the level of twisty turnies that the audience could be put thru, wondering why "Jack did that" and how many more relationships he could have destroyed. GENUIS!

Jack is really gay and has a love affair with Curtis and we find out that he also had a relationship with Tony for years.

Might not go over too well with the fan base :(
