What did everyone think of Season 1? I will leave some descriptions of each episode and what i thought of them as i am rewatching it at the minute!!

1x01 Pilot - I loved the Pilot, threw your straight into the action, I liked the way it gets everything going straight away, the whole wreckage is the first scene, and you actually see the crash through flashbacks. an amazing way to learn about the idea of flashbacks that lost relies so heavily on!! i think an amazing first episode to a show!

1x02 Pilot Part 2 - Another cracking episode, by this point we are really starting to learn about the characters, especially Sayid, Boone, Shannon and Sawyer in this one as the first part focused heavily on Jack, Kate and Charlie. I like the way we are slowly being introduced into the characters.

We thought we knew Kate but it turned out she was the convict which is obviously a big suprise for all! Theres clearly something interesting happening with Locke, who begins to bond with Walt. However, the producers seem intent on making him seem scary, by adding fightening music to the end when the camera focuses on him.

yeah that first episode was epic. especially looking at the behind the scenes, all the time, work, and money that went into the pilot. i was shocked to hear that the original idea was for jack to die in the pilot :scared:

looking back at season 1, it was mainly to get acquainted with the survivors and find out just a few things about the mysteries of the island. a lot of fans are kind of bothered by the current season because there's less of that, and a lot more of other people inhabiting the island like the others and the upcoming answers to the dharma past

1x03 Tabula Rasa Some real life flashbacks from now on, of individual characters. And who better to start with than Kate? We have all found out she is the convict, but strangly she doesn't seem to be that much of a bad girl: she helps the friendly farmer get out of his truck [stopping him from dieing] and seems intent on helping Sayid with his little machine.

Definately a good episode, especially with the whole Sawyer trying to kill the Marshall, but not quite managing it scene. I love the tensions between Jack and Sawyer there, and you can tell a rivarly is brewing.

1x04 Walkabout Still to this day one of my favourite episodes, the revelation that Locke, the esteemed hunter, was incapacited in a wheelchair for the past 4 years before coming to the island was amazing. And the fact that you only find out in the last flashback is incredible, some of the scenes almost bring a tear to my eye: when Locke's boss is having a go at him for playing a break on his lunch hour, and when they won't let him go on the Walkabout trip.

Meanwhile, the present-time Locke is out killing boars. Also, a memorial is held for all those that died in the crash, setting alight the huge fuselage in the hopes that a passing plane will see it. That was a fantastic bit of filming, and I think this is when the amazing music of Lost really began to show itself, and how much it affects the programme.

1x05 White Rabbit So we finally get a Jack flashback, and one of many to come, being the character with the most flashbacks of all. We find out his dad was harsh to him, told him he wasn't a leader, funnily enough perfectly referring to the events on the island which call for him as a leader: namely Charlie and Hurley dumping the problem of dwindling water supplies on him. His outburst leads people to think he actually doesn't want to be the leader, but we all know he does right?

The of course, the hallucinations. Daym Jack, you need to get yourself some sleep. Or need to get yourself the hell off this island: that's right, your pa's gone walkabout. And not the kind that Locke was not allowed to do. He's vanished.

We get a wonderful speech by Jack at the end, and you can tell, of course he wants to be the leader, and will be, for many episodes to come!

1x06 House of the Rising Sun Well out of all the people on the island we get the folks who dont speak English for the 4th proper flashback episode. Great. That means 40 minutes of reading subtitles. :glare:

Nevertheless its still a pretty good episode, maybe too soon to reveal that sun can speak English, it would have been nice for that to have lasted longer, but at least we learn she wasn't always the husband-abiding woman she is now.

In other news, a couple of folks move to the caves along with "Adam and Eve", aww how nice. Well as least Hurley will be able to quench his thirst. And Charlie found his guitar and got rid of his drugs all in 5 minutes... good on you!!

1x07 The Moth Ah a Charlie flashback! Of course, he has the typical rocka nd roll lifestyle: drugs, sex and a brother named liam. But its not all fun and games when he's bro doesn't want to do a comeback, mad old charlie takes the doomed flight instead of taking the help and advice offered by his now happily-married sibling.

On the island Charlie gets into more bother, causing a cave in and locking Jack in the middle. Kate = mad. This leaves Sawyer to set off Sayid's device to try and triangulate some sort of signal, just as Boone left Shannon with his when he went to help Jack. Everything goes according to plan until someone wallops Sayid around the head. Oh well.

Charlie miraculous saves Jack, so everyone is friends again and Charlie gets rid of his drugs once and for all. Aww, Locke's proud of him. Happy families!

1x08 Confidence Man Another good episode, Sawyer is revealed to be who he really is by Kate, and his flashbacks show that he was a con man.

1x09 Solitary So we finally meet the crazy french lady. And yes, she is as crazy and as french as we thought.

It turns out Sayid had a lady back in Iraq, a lady he tourtured. But its ok, cos he shot himself and let her go free. On the island, Ethan and Locke go hunting. Jack plays golf. Some random prick gets a rash. Saywer and Kate are outcasts. Rousseau hopes its only a bear. Sayid fixes her music box and hears the whispers. Alex is Rousseau's child. Michael is a crap father to Walt. Walt throws knifes with Locke. Which takes us back to Locke.......

1x11 All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues Jackbacks. There's a good start. :glare: Um, Charlie is found. but not Claire. Jack just managed to save Charlie inbetween rubbish flashbacks about his dad's stupid alcoholic problems.

Also in this episode: Ethan beats up Jack [go Ethan!!] and Locke doesn't watch Star Trek. Boone and Locke find the hatch.

1x12 Whatever the Case May Be Sawyer and Kate for a swim. Kate gets a toy plane. Saywer can't open a case. Jack digs up the dead marshall. Jack and Kate get guns from the case. Rose comforts Charlie. Sayid and Shannon "translate notes".

Kate has flashbacks which involve the exact same thing that is happening on the island: her quest to find the toy plane.

1x15 Homecoming Charlie awakens to see Locke carrying Claire to Jack. The last thing that Claire claims to remember is the flight. Jack fills her in about the events since the flight. The last thing that Claire claims to remember is the flight. Jack fills her in about the events since the flight. Sayid and Boone rush to hear who has triggered the alarm. They discover that it was only Vincent who tripped it, but then they hear screaming and return to the beach, only to find that Scott had been murdered. With the guns from the briefcase and Claire as (willing) bait, Jack, Kate, Locke, Sayid and Sawyer set a trap.
