I actually read Utd wanted Owen as well . But going back 2 months and i took it as just rubbish paper talk. Being a liverpool fan i loooved Owen and still follow him as he did wonder's for us and i think its a shame that such a nice guy has had such injurys, i mean he is 10 times the man that Rooney will ever be . He is friendly, polite, sweet and mainly at the age of 18 didnt sleep with hookers who where old enough to be his granma.

LoL Owen is still 1 of the best strikers out there and his record for club and country says it all. Legend come back to me when Rooney has scored 31 plus goals for England.

rooney is better all round then owen, owen was long ball boy,,,control it, run at the defence/goalie and score (not saying its bad) but thats all he was about, he was great at beating defenders.

Yes top clubs wanted him ,errr Liverpool, Arsenal at 1 point but just he was not worth the 15m and thats why newcastle got him. As they priced other teams out of there price range.
