hey guys ...just want to ask you all some things about Roger Moore
what did you think of him? if you didnt like him? why didnt you?
did you like any of the bond films he starred in?

I liked Roger Moore too. If you've ever read the novels, Bond is described as being not very handsome, not too tall, etc. I thought Daniel Craig was terrific.

I thought Roger Moore was cool, he was the one I first saw.

I'm a child of the 80's so I chose Roger Moore. Man, I miss that decade. :(

I'll always be a Pierce fan since he was the first Bond I ever saw.

I agree its gotta be Sean, Lazenby made a piece of wood look like a good actor, Dalton was ok, as was Roger Moore. As for Brosnan... he's good but..... he's too smooth for Bond in the films he re-acts to explosionsetc. b4 they happen lol. Think when Craigs done a couple more we might be able to judge him better

Voted for Mr Connery as he was in three of my favourite Bond films, compared with Moore who was only in two favourites. I adore Daniel Craig aswell, but will have to wait until his legacy as Bond is over.
I'm not a big Bond fan, however nobody compares to Sir Sean Connery.

i agree Connery is a Legend
did anybody ever like Roger Moore
I always thought when Moore was "Bond", he was imitating his version of The Saint. Nobody compares to Sir Connery as James Bond.

Good to see those fools Lazenby and Dalton have had no votes
Those 2 are almost forgetable. I was surprised Daniel Craig has already received 4 votes, since he's only been in one movie. I did hear it was a good Bond movie. Has anyone here seen it?

DANIEL CRAIG WORSE? How?

Anyone who has read the novels knows that Connery wasn't even CLOSE to what Bond was like and Daniel Craig was exactly what he was like. Don't get me wrong, I like Connery as an actor. I liked Roger Moore, too, but he also feel into the role after Bond had been an agent for awhile. Pierce was good, too. Lazenby was OK and Dalton ...yuck...

i voted Daniel Craig
he is a good actor and i think he fits the bond charactor very well
i also like the story of 'Casino Royale' and how it is a little more serious than some of the other bond movies

Im gonna go crazy and do this order
Craig
tie Brosnan - Connery
Dalton
Moore
Lazenby (only because he did one. If he had gone on I think it might have been great, but we will never know)
Lazenby gets a bad rap because he showed the emontional side of Bond (as did Craig). Those two stories are what turned bond into the emotional tomb of a womanizer with Area 51 level security. Casino ROyale started it and On Her Majesty's Secret Service finished it.
OHMSS was also arguably the closest film-novel
i grew up with brosnan as my first bond so he's high up there
when i first saw casino royale, Craig just hit it on personality as what i felt bond was: cocky, witty, cocksure yet still green and unsure with his new found position (not fucking goofy like Moore was - his one liners were up there with Shwarzenegger in poorness). Connery as bond was a classic depiction but his grasp of the role wasn't what I'd call great.

In my opinion,Sir Sean Connery gave us two versions of James Bond. His character interpretation as the super spy in Dr. No and From Russia with Love was fantastic. But he changed the concept of character in his later movies and I felt disappointed.
Not sure, if any of the actors, who have played Bond, ever "nailed" Ian Fleming's character in his novels but I have enjoyed seeing all of them.

I never really thought of a Bond agent as brutal or violent until Daniel Craig played the role, despite Sean Connery's brilliant acting I think Craig hit the nail on the head.

As a long time reader of Ian Fleming and the Bond novels, I have to say Daniel Craig. I think the others were fantastic in their own ways but Daniel really nails it.
